How to play the A6 piano chord

(Basic A6 piano chord and Inversions of the A6 piano chord)

  • Chord symbol: A6
  • The A6 chord is a 4-note-chord (a tetrad)
  • A sixth chord consists of 4 notes: Root note, Major third, Fifth, Sixth
  • The 4 notes in the A6 chord are: A – C# – E – F#
  • A sixth chord can basically be played in root position and 3 inversions (Total of 4 positions): Root note at the bottom, Major third at the bottom, The fifth at the bottom, Sixth at the bottom.
