When The Beatles released the album Let It Be in 1970, they had actually already gone their separate ways. The album was pieced together by old recordings by producer Phil Spector, and since then, Paul McCartney in particular has been critical of how the album came to sound. However, this has not stopped millions of people from falling in love with the record, and especially its title track. The track has the character of a religious anthem, but is actually a tribute song to McCartney’s mother who died when he was a young boy. It is one of the most beautiful Beatles songs, and an eternal favourite among pianists. In this article we teach you how to play the song.
