How to play the F Flat Major Chord on your piano or keyboard

From the chord symbol Fb we get the following information:

  • The Fb chord has the note Fb as root note
  • The Fb chord is a 3-note chord (a triad)
  • The Fb chord is a major chord

Because Fb is a 3-note chord it also has 3 inversions:

  • Root inversion
  • 1st. inversion
  • 2nd. inversion

Fb chord – Root inversion (basic inversion) looks like this: Fb – Ab – Cb
