Chorus is an audio effect that makes a single instrument sound fuller, wider and richer by creating the illusion that several instruments are playing together.
What is a chorus effect?
A chorus effect works by mixing the original audio signal with one or more slightly delayed and gently pitch-modulated copies. These small variations create the impression of multiple performers playing the same notes at the same time.
The effect takes its name from a choir (chorus), where no two singers perform with exactly the same timing or pitch. This natural variation produces the warm, spacious sound that the effect imitates.
