The Circle of Fifths is a diagram that arranges the twelve musical keys in fifths, illustrating the relationships between key signatures, scales, and closely related keys.
What is the Circle of Fifths?
Moving clockwise around the circle adds one sharp to the key signature with each step, while moving counterclockwise adds one flat. This organization makes it easy to see how keys are related and how many sharps or flats each key contains.
