E-flat major is a major key based on the note E-flat. Its key signature contains three flats: B♭, E♭ and A♭.

What is E-flat major?

The E-flat major scale consists of the notes E♭, F, G, A♭, B♭, C and D. Its relative minor is C minor, which shares the same key signature.

The primary chords in E-flat major are E-flat major (I), A-flat major (IV) and B-flat major (V). These chords form the harmonic foundation of the key.
