G-sharp minor is a minor key based on the note G-sharp. Its key signature contains five sharps: F#, C#, G#, D# and A#.
What is G-sharp minor?
The G-sharp natural minor scale consists of the notes G#, A#, B, C#, D#, E and F#. Its relative major is B major, which shares the same key signature.
The primary chords in G-sharp minor are G# minor (i), C# minor (iv) and D# minor (v). In harmonic minor, the dominant chord is often changed to D# major or D#7 by raising the seventh scale degree to create a stronger resolution.
