D-flat major is a major key based on the note D-flat. Its key signature contains five flats: B♭, E♭, A♭, D♭ and G♭.
What is D-flat major?
The D-flat major scale consists of the notes D♭, E♭, F, G♭, A♭, B♭ and C. Its relative minor is B-flat minor, which shares the same key signature.
The primary chords in D-flat major are D-flat major (I), G-flat major (IV) and A-flat major (V). These chords form the harmonic foundation of the key.
How is D-flat major used in piano playing?
